Yellow Delicious Apple, also called Golden Delicious, is among the top 15 most famous cultivated variety in the US. It yields a large, yellow fruit with a mouth-watering, sweet taste. It is best eaten raw, and can be used to make applesauce, pies and jam. If refrigerated, it can last up to 3-6 months. Apples are rich in Vitamins A and C, fiber and antioxidants. It also has white to pinkish blossoms that appear midseason. It can grow up to 25 feet tall and spreads up to 25 feet wide at maturity. It is grown best in moist and well-drained soils.

Interesting Facts
This beautiful tree is thought to have received its name when, in 1892, a grower in Iowa sent samples to a commercial nursery owner and with one bite the owner exclaimed, “delicious!”.
